Subject to certain exempted occupations, convictions that are ‘spent’ under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 need not be mentioned. Please be aware that declaring a conviction will not automatically disqualify you from being employed by International Quest.
Please note that staff employed to work with children are not covered by the 1974 rehabilitation of offenders act and can be required to declare all criminal convictions against children, spent or otherwise. Under the Protection of Children Act 1999 and Criminal Justice and Court Services Act 2000, it is illegal for anyone who has been disqualified from working with children to work, or apply for work in a ‘regulated’ child care position. A position whose normal duties involve caring for, training, supervising or being in sole charge of children is a regulated position.
Your personal Details will be recorded on our computers in accordance with our registration under the Data Protection Act 1998.
